Serena once again proved that on her day she could beat anyone in the world. Playing with full authority and of course attacking flair, Serena Williams beat world number 1 Justine Henin 0-6, 7-5, 6-3 in the final of Sony Ericsson Open at Florida. Earlier, after loosing the first set without even winning a single game, Serena looks stronger in the second and third set.
Powerful serve and strong backhand shot, which were missing in the first set, come back for Serena in second and third. At one point of time, she was facing a match point but Serena holds her nerves and fight back with a bang. Though, Henin continued to make Serena sweat for every point but in the end she was too good for world number 1.
This year has been brilliant for Serena so far. After winning the first grand slam of the year Australian Open, she has also improved her WTA ranking which fell to dismal 140th last year due to injury but this victory will means that she will attain the 11th spot in the WTA ranking next week.
